Our association Dian, Karen, Rosa and us is at the origin of the micro farm of Dian and Karen.
We chose through the name of our association and then of our farm to pay tribute to three great ladies who inspired us to embark on our project:
- Dian FOSSEY, American primatologist, who devoted his whole life to the preservation of gorillas in the mountains of Rwanda.
-Karen BLIXEN, adventurer and writer of the beginning of the 20th century, who created with her husband a coffee plantation in Kenya. Her husband will leave her quickly after the creation of the farm! She stayed in Kenya and managed her plantation alone, despite all the difficulties she encountered!
-Rosa PARK, African American woman, emblematic figure in the fight against racial segregation in the United States , nicknamed "mother of the civil rights movement " by the American Congress. She became famous in 1955 by refusing to give up her place to a white passenger on a bus.
Like these three women, we believe that believing in your convictions can achieve great things!
And that sometimes a small gesture can be the beginning of a great movement!

Growing and learning to consume organic and local food
In our micro-farm we will practice permaculture. This method allows you to grow healthy and nutritious organic fruits and vegetables on a small plot of land. Permaculture relies on: living soil biodiversity in an ecosystem cultivated without chemical fertilizers
